Our color palette was inspired by the timeless architecture, lush gardens, and historic character of Roberts Mansion. These colors are simply meant to inspire, but you're welcome to wear whatever makes you feel your best (please avoid white, ivory, or cream).

Why we chose this venue

If you've ever visited our home, you probably already know why we fell in love with Roberts Mansion. While we can't quite afford our own Victorian mansion, we couldn't imagine a better place to celebrate the beginning of our marriage.

Rich history

Built in 1889, Roberts Mansion is one of Spokane's finest examples of Queen Anne architecture. The 24-room home was originally commissioned by pioneering merchant Bernhard Loewenberg, whose success helped shape Spokane during its earliest boom years.

Just as the home was being completed, Spokane's fortunes changed. After financial hardships following the city's early economic downturn, Loewenberg traded the mansion to Edward J. Roberts, a civil engineer, railroad executive, and co-founder of Union Iron Works. The Roberts family would call the mansion home for more than 60 years, leaving such a lasting legacy that it still bears their name today.

Over the decades, the mansion has worn many hats. It has served as a private residence, apartments, a rooming house, and today has been lovingly restored as both a historic inn and event venue. Its original granite detailing, ornate spindlework, dramatic turret, and Victorian craftsmanship have been carefully preserved, allowing guests to experience a piece of Spokane's history firsthand.

Nestled in Browne's Addition—Spokane's oldest neighborhood and one of the city's most treasured historic districts—the mansion continues to stand as a reminder of Spokane's remarkable early years. We feel incredibly fortunate to celebrate the beginning of our own story in a place that has already witnessed generations of them.

The Venue

We first met at the tattoo shop. Konner wasn’t my artist — in fact, his station was at the other end of the shop. But the second time I came in to get more work added, he arrived right after they made a lunch run and he missed out. He was really sweet — so I shared my food with him. Which is a big deal, because I don’t really do that. Haha..A couple weeks later, I was at a Kane Brown concert with my friend Rose. Konner and I passed each other in the big crowd during intermission. It was a quick “hi, bye” sort of interaction, but then I got an Instagram message. I had just gotten my hair done and he shot me a compliment (pretty impressive move showing a girl you notice those things). He let me know he was there with his family, so I asked if maybe he wanted to meet up after..At the local watering hole, I asked if he was getting a drink. He said he didn’t drink. This kind of caught me off guard, in the most refreshing way. The rest of the night, we entertained ourselves by anonymously sneaking old country songs into the jukebox and playing pool. (Mind you, this bar was not a country-type place, so we were kind of being menaces.) Konner started singing along to every word. RIP Toby Keith. In that moment, there wasn't any pressure to be anything more than just ourselves — it was simple, goofy, and wholesome.

Our Story

From then on, we kept finding excuses to see each other. Once a week turned into a few times a week, and pretty soon, it became more than two friends just hanging out — it was something we were choosing every day..As things became more serious and we started to meet each other’s families, everything just seemed to fall into place. When Konner met Audrey and Aurora, they gained another best friend. The girls grew close to him, and before long, we were a household of two kids, two dogs, and a home filled with a lot laughter.

Falling Into Place

Life looks different now — the late nights have been traded for early mornings, and our adventures are often centered around family and home. Our conversations used to be about getting to know each other, and now they’re more about responsibilities and what we want for dinner (bacon-wrapped meatloaf is always high on the list). But we always find things to talk about, to laugh about, and our shared passions keep life interesting. Our bond was formed from the simplest moments early on — and that’s still what matters most..Our relationship is built on honesty, trust, and the kind of safety that makes you feel like you can completely be yourself. Konner brings out a softness in me that not many people will ever see, and he keeps me laughing no matter what’s going on. We’ve both learned that life changes all the time, and you can’t control everything — but you can choose who you go through it with. And we choose each other.

Because the venue is in a historic part of town with limited parking, ride-share services and carpooling are highly encouraged. We especially appreciate any help coordinating rides or drop-offs for elderly guests to ensure everyone arrives safely and comfortably.
